About Samplage

Samplage is a hand-picked directory of great spoken lines from films. Each entry has the line, a short clip of the moment (15 seconds at most, usually under ten), the scene, the timestamp, full credits and a note on why the line works.

Every line is chosen and checked by hand. When the source of a line cannot be verified, the page says so instead of guessing.

Clips stream on the page as short excerpts quoted for commentary, reference and discovery. Each page links to where you can watch the whole film, and all rights remain with the films' rights holders.

Samplage is independent and not affiliated with any studio or distributor. It carries no advertising.
